Wine grapes: the basics

I’m here to talk about all things WINE! I’ll be chatting about new wines to taste, new bars and restaurants to find good wines, all with the aim of expanding my palate and yours by sharing with you at the same time. Like many wine lovers, I started with a very basic wine knowledge. In the past I would usually always opt for a wine from one of the well known grape varieties (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon). As my knowledge of wines have grown so has my wine selection which now includes Pinot Noir, Riesling and even the occasional Gewurtz Traminer! Of course there are many grape varieties out there some very regional specific such as Zinfandel and Gruner Veltliner but they are still available throughout the World and so I will explore those as well.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
